Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. today from East McComb Baptist Church with burial in Hollywood Cemetery. Rev. T. D. Sumrall, Mr. Bearden's pastor, was to officiate at the rites.
Mr. Bearden was a retired welder for the I. C. railroad. Born in Pike County, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Bearden and had lived here all of his life. He was a Mason, member of the Order of Eastern Star and had been active in church affairs until his health failed.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Eunice Moak Bearden; three sons, Edwin of Raymond, Rev. Cecil Bearden, Central, S.C., and Donald of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Jewel Dykes, Natchez, Mrs. A. C. Lewis Jr., Columbus, Ga.; and 12 grandchildren.
Nephews of the deceased served as pallbearers. Hartman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
