Mrs. James R. Long, aged about 65, died at her home Tuesday evening, about 10:30 after a lingering illness of a complication of diseases. In the early part of December she was taken to St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, for treatment, but did not improve while there. Until the last few days she was thought to be temporarily better, having rallied some two weeks ago. On Tuesday afternoon she began sinking rapidly, dying at the time named. She was a member of the Baptist church, and is survived by her husband, three sons and two daughters. Mr. Karl Long, a farmer near the home; Dr. Floyd Long, of Chicago University; Prof. Ora Long, of Waco, Texas; Mrs. O.H. Collier, of this place and Miss Mamie D. Long, instructor at the Millersburg Female College. Funeral this morning at 10 o'clock at the residence. Burial in the Millersburg cemetery.
