Nellie Landry Savoie, a retired nursing assistant and a resident of Belle Rose, was entrusted to God's loving care on Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, in Donaldsonville. She was 95 and a native of Brusly St. Vincent.

Arrangements entrusted to Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Jules Catholic Church in Belle Rose, concelebrated by the Rev. Jason Labbé and the Rev. Jeff Bayhi. Interment in the church cemetery.

Survived by her daughter-in-law, JoAnn Hidalgo Savoie, Belle Rose; grandchildren, Jody Martin Savoie and wife Tina, Ann Marie Savoie Gonzalez and husband Miguel, and Amy Elizabeth Savoie Hebert and husband Brett; and great-grandchildren, Jonathan Martin Savoie, Megan Marie Savoie, Benjamin Alexander Gonzalez, Madeline Claire Hebert and Laura Marie Savoie. Ms. Nellie was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hepburn L. Savoie; son, Gayle Martin Savoie; parents, Rudolph Landry and Elvidge Alleman Landry; brother, Henry Landry Sr.; and six sisters, Luce L. Blanchard, Angeline L. Cabellera, Anaise L. Simoneaux, Clemence L. Aucoin, Virginea "Jenny" Simoneaux and Ollie L. Stanley.
