Archie Wayne Yandell, 89, of Clarksville, AR stepped into his heavenly home on August 20, 2020 at Baptist Health in Ft. Smith. Archie was born on October 27, 1930 in Clarksville, Arkansas (Harmony Community) to Hugh Michael and Anna Laura Mickle Yandell.

Archie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clarksville, AR (Friendship Sunday School Class). Archie served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He was a retired carpenter but also spent many years as a truck driver delivering specifically for Avon. Archie enjoyed fishing, gardening, singing, and playing cards with family and friends. He was also an avid Razorback fan and loved to call the Hogs

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Carol Trew Yandell, four brothers and two sisters-in-law’s [Jack, Carl (Katie), Kenneth (Lucille), and Argus], and two sisters and brothers-in-law [Erma Lee Pitts (Sherman) and Jeffie Ashlock (Paul)].

Archie is survived by four daughters and son in law’s, Cindy Rehanek (Jim) of Jenks, OK; Colleen Rodonski (Ken) of Clarksville, AR; Connie Douglas (Jerry) of South Pueblo, CO; and Coral Gould (Sam) of Clarksville, AR; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one brother, Thomas Yandell of Rockford, Illinois, and three sisters-in-law, Nell, Rita, and Neva.

The Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at East Mt. Zion Trinity Baptist Church, Clarksville, AR with Brother Robbie Jackson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mustard Seed (200 S. College Ave., Clarksville, AR 72830) or the Johnson County Community Foundation (C/O Yandell Scholarship Fund for the University of the Ozarks – 105 South Cravens St., Clarksville, AR).
