Obituary for P. Jeannine Lord Files Mongold

P. Jeannine Lord Files Mongold, 77, of Martinsburg, died Friday, June 19, 2009, at her home with her children by her side.

Born April 1, 1932 in Berkeley County, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Lord and Nellie Aikens Lord.

She retired from Crown Cork and Seal after 25 years of service.

She was a member of Living Waters Family Worship Center and a volunteer with Loaves and Fishes and Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by four sons, Mike Files and wife, Linda, of Marlowe, Lyle Files and companion, Etta, of Falling Waters, Dennis Files and wife, Maureen, of Newman Lake, WA, and Glenn Files, of Back Creek Valley; five daughters, Connie Butts and husband, Jeff, of Martinsburg, Belinda Silver and husband, Gary, of Back Creek Valley, Jackie and Tammy Files, both of Hedgesville and Marie Beavers, of Martinsburg; 27 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Vincent Lord, of Clearbook VA; three sisters, Vola Beavers, of Martinsburg, Esther Cole, of Bunker Hill and Ruth Hill, of Martinsburg, and close and dear friend, Reg Files.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Wayne Files and

Alston R. “Donnie” Mongold; two sons, Kenny and Timmy Files and one daughter, Cathy Files.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 22, 2009, at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Neil Smith officiating.

Interment will be held at Back Creek Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 122 Waverly Ct., Martinsburg, WV 25403.
