Harold Cory Dies Friday

Harold Cory, 41, former Pentwater resident, died unexpectedly Friday evening at his home in Auburn. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

He was born March 3, 1926 in Pentwater, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Cory. He was graduated from Pentwater High School in 1944 and served in the Armed Forces during World War II. He was married on May 8, 1954 to Margery Alvesteffer of Weare Township. Following their marriage the couple lived in Holland until 1964 at which time they moved to Auburn. Mr. Cory was employed by Dow Chemical Co. in Midland.

He was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Auburn.

Surviving are his widow; two sons, Dennis and Craig; three daughters, Cheryl, Kristine and Deanna al at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max D. Cory of Pentwater; a brother, Robert of Roseville; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas L. (Jean) Roberts of Victorville, Calif., and Mrs. John (Janetta) Ackerman of St. Clair Shores.

Requiem mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday from St. Joseph Church in Auburn with burial in Auburn.

Taylor Funeral Home in Auburn is in charge of arrangements.
