Harold Clark Adams, 98, of Lucasville, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020 at his home. He was born September 2, 1921 in New Boston a son of the late Arthur Morton Adams and Lydia Blanche (Bartlett) Adams. Harold served in the Navy on the USS Natoma Bay in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a member of the Victory Chapter of the DAV. He was a Baker for the Adams Baking Co. for 32 years and retired as a corrections officer at SOCF in Lucasville. Harold had a passion for baking and gardening.

Harold is survived by two daughters, Tammy Sue Montgomery of Rubyville and Lisa Adams of Pataskala, OH; a son, Harold E. “Tony” Adams of Warwick RI; a sister, Janet Goddard of New Boston; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace (Stiltner) Adams; a son, Roger E. Adams; sisters, Evelyn Wolfe, Helen Newton, Betty Hughes, and Pamela Scurlock; Brothers, Bill Adams, Paul Adams, Ernest Adams and great-grandchild Brian Adams.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2020 at D.W. Swick – Nelson Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Mike Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace with Military Graveside Honors provided by James Dickey Post #23 of the American Legion. Friends may call Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Monday. Face coverings are recommended.
