Funeral services for Daniel Thacker Boone, 80, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2005, at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Richard Bailey officiated with burial in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Boone, widower of Miriam La Faye Boone, died Thursday, May 12. Born in Darlington County, he was a son of the late Daniel Thacker and Lula Cassidy Boone. He was a loving father, grandfather and our best friend.
Surviving are his sons and daughter-in-law, Daniel T. III and Tracie Boone of Peachland, N.C., Charles C. Boone of Hartsville; daughter, Chrystal La Faye Boone of Hartsville; granddaughter, Alyssa Boone.
