Malchijah McMath, son of Joseph and Elizabeth McMath
8th Feb, 1790, Died: 17, Feb. 1851 Aged 61 years and 9 days∼Malchijah McMath was born in Warren Co. Ga on February 8, 1790. He was the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Wilshire McMath. Malchijah married Sarah Davidson in 1812 in Warren Co. and not long afterwards moved to Tuscaloosa Co. AL, settling near Green Pond on the Tuscaloosa/Jefferson Co. line. He had a number of children and his last purchased land was just inside the Tuscaloosa Co. line in about 1845. Malchijah died on February 17, 1851 and was buried in what became a small McMath cemetery near Green Pond with about seven graves in it. August 25, 2012 UPDATE!! The cemetery has been FOUND!! UNDISTURBED!! It is behind a residence on Heritage Drive near the resident's barn. This is probably between Green Pond and Tannehill AL.
