Mrs. Pernina Hartley Lemley

Mrs. Pernina Hartley Lemley, 79, widow of David S. Lemley, died Monday morning, Jan. 15, 1940, at 2:45 o'clock at her home in Monongalia County, W. Va., near Mt. Morris. Mrs. Lemley had been ill for about three months.

A lifelong resident of the Mt. Morris vicinity, she was born October 12, 1860, in Perry Township and was a daughter of the late Elijah and Sarah Headley Hartley. She was united in marriage with David S. Lemley, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Lemley was a lifelong member of the Shannon Run Methodist Church.

Besides one son, Ross E. Lemley, of Monongalia County, W. Va., near Mt. Morris, with whom she made her home, she leaves one sister and five brothers: Mrs. Estella Barrickman, of Morgantown, W. Va.;; Luther Hartley, of Wadestown, W. Va.; Cornelius Hartley, of Kirby; Jesse L. Hartley, of Waynesburg; Rev. W. T. Hartley, of Mars. Pa., and John L. Hartley, of Mt. Morris.

LEMLEY - Funeral services for Mrs. Pernina Hartley Lamley, of near Mt. Morris, will be held Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 17. Short services will be held at her late home at 1 o'clock, followed by further services at 2 o'clock in the Mt. Morris Methodist Church with the Rev. A. H. Sarrie in charge. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received at the late home.
