New Jerusalem - Lewis H. Angstadt, 87, Rockland Township road supervisor for many years, died yesterday in the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester R. Gressley, Fleetwood R.D. 1. He was a farmer near here most of his life.
Angstadt was a son of the late John A. and Elizabeth (Hassler) Angstadt, and was a member of Frieden's Lutheran Church, Oley, where he served on the church council for many years. His wife, Mary Ann (Beaver) preceded him in death.
Surviving are four children: John B., Temple R.D. 1; Carrie R., wife of Sylvester R. Gressley, with whom he resided; Clara B., wife of Paul R. DeLong, Stony Mills Creek, and Lewis B., Fleetwood R.D. 1; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Ella Hendricks, Pottstown, and Mrs. John Fenstermacher, Fleetwood R.D. 1.
Services Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Weidner Funeral Home, Oley. Further services in Frieden's Church, the Rev. Paul J. Dundore officiating. Burial in the adjoining cemetery.
