Dorothy B Banner 1914 - 1995
Dorothy Bertha Banner, sister of Fern Robinson of Meeker, died of natural causes Sunday in Community Hospital. She was 81.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Martin Mortuary with the Rev. John Pruett officiating.
Mrs. Banner, a retired clerk for clothing and shoes stores, had lived in Grand Junction since 1989.
She was born in Meeker,January 18, 1914, to William and Rose Eagen Cotten in Meeker, where she spent her childhood and graduated from high school.
She and her first husband, Dallas Miller, divorced.
She married Richard Banner in 1957 in Meeker. He is deceased.
Mrs. Banner also had lived in California, Arizona and Nevada before moving to Grand Junction.
She was very active in the Republican Party, and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Miller of Indio, Calif., and Jon Miller of San Angelo, Texas; two sisters, Fern Robinson of Meeker and Hazel Talbot of Grand Junction; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
