Agnes (Schares) Schnelle, 84 of Medford Oregon, went home to be with her Lord on July 3, 2020. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 5th at Noon at Shepard of the Valley Catholic Church in Central Point with burial at Eagle Point VA Cemetery.

Agnes Henrietta was born September 21, 1935 to Frank and Josephine (Arend) Schares in Gilbertville, Iowa. She attended Immaculate Conception Grade School and High School. She followed in her sister's footsteps and entered the Sister's School of Notre Dame Convent in Mankato, Minnesota September 18, 1954. She took her first vows in July 1960 with a chosen name of Sister Mary Rosalita. She taught elementary school in a variety of parishes around Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, Washington and Idaho. She left the convent in 1996. She moved to Medford, Oregon where she worked for several years with the elderly. She held positions in Home Care, as a Social Worker as a Nursing Home, as a supervisor at a Hospitality House, Asante Cheney House for Rogue Valley Medical Center and in transportation services taking seniors to medical appointments. Even in retirement, she was often visiting the sick and elderly. She volunteered as a "friendly visitor" and taught Tai Chi/Chi Gung to seniors. For two years she participated in the "No One dies alone program." In her later years, Agnes trained for certification in reflexology and was also a Healing Touch provider. Her healing ministry touched many lives. She was a great listener and friend to many. Agnes was a very caring, prayerful and compassionate person. She gave often of her time, treasures and talents and always ended her visits with you by saying "Be Good To Yourself." She will be missed by all those who were blessed to know her. Agnes is survived by her husband Henry (Hank), her two sisters Rosalee Schmeltzer (Al) of Waterloo, Iowa and Florence Dittmer of Raymond, Iowa along with her numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Asante Cheney House, 2882 State St. Medford, Oregon 97504.
