Ruth Bowlby, 73, of Modesto died Saturday at her relatives' home in Kingsville, Texas.
Mrs. Bowlby was a native of Holland, Texas. She lived in Modesto since 1953. She was retired from S&W Fine Foods. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary No. 2143.
She is survived by her sisters, Ollie Martin of Modesto and Doris Smith of Livermore.
A graveside service is scheduled at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Acacia Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.
