Yelitza Enid Rivera, 16, of Trenton, entered into her eternal rest on Thursday, August 13, 2020. Born in Trenton on February 9, 2004 she was a lifelong area resident. She had finished her Freshman year at Trenton Central High School where she was on the Color Guard and looking forward to her Sophomore year. Yelitza loved to dance, listen to music, hang out with her many close friends, and shop especially for sneakers. She was into anything beauty related and loved to do her nails and look pretty. She had a vibrant personality and could easily put a smile on the face of others.
Yelitza is survived by her parents, Jennifer Rivera and her husband Joseann Sonera, her father William Rivera and his wife Teresa Vargas; her maternal grandmother, Zoraida Mendez and husband Gennaro Castañeda, her maternal grandfather, Manuel Rivera, her paternal grandparents, Miguel De Jesus and Evelyn Mendez; her siblings, Tania Rivera, Jeremiah and Anayeliz Sonera, and step-brother Richard Lopez; aunts, Jessenia and husband Nelson Reyes and Yamilet and husband José Almanzar; uncle, Pablo Rivera; close family friends, Elizabeth Figueroa, Angela Feliciano and Suzaida Nazario as well as many others; her best friends, Edith, Ahmilliyon, Navi, Yamilet, Ameerah, Abigail, Namiya, Kevin, Dione, Rahmir, Adelyn, Nazir, Leah, Juju, Mekhi, and Tyreek; two cousins, Yessenia Rivera and Luis Arzan and many other cousins and other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home prior to the services. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Ln., Hamilton, NJ.
