She was a homemaker and long-time member of the Paradise United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Wise County Tin & Iron Antique Cars Club and the Decatur 8-ers square dance club. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Billy George Peyton; her sister, Connie Odessa; and her son-in-law, Billy Lindsey. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Lindsey of Denton; sons, John Peyton of Dallas, Brad Peyton and wife, Debi of Chico, and Richard Peyton and wife, Janice of Winnfield, Louisiana; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Berth Opella of Wichita Falls, and Ana Jo Breedlove of Thornberry; and brother, Virgil Lynn Chester of Wimberly.
