Donna M. Melin, age 87 of Carlton, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth. She was born May 31, 1933 in Carlton to Charles and Anna (Novak) Dahlberg.

She worked as a secretary for South Terrace Elementary School for 29 years. She served on the Carlton City Council for six years and also on the Board of Directors for the Carlton Library, the Carlton Volunteer Fire Department, and was a lifelong member of St. Francis Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing the accordion and polka music, but her family was the most important part of her life.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford Melin; one brother, Charles Dahlberg Jr.; and a special dog, “Molly Mae”.

She is survived by her sons: Michael (Denise) Melin and Paul (Susan) Melin; sisters: Charlotte Anderson and Barbara Johnson; granddaughters: Katie, Maggie, Beth, and Anne; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Inurnment at Hillside Cemetery in Carlton.
