Obituary: "Eddie B. Dawkins, 78, of Autumn Hills died Saturday, Sept 29, 1979. he was born March 13, 1901 in Louisville, Mississippi, a son of Huey and Lucy Eugenia Baker Dawkins. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lonnie Simmons Dawkins, a brother Morris Dawkins of Warren, and two sisters, Mrs. Hettie Williams and Lottie Mae Phillips of Warren.

"Funeral services were held Sunday at the Frazer's Chapel of the Chimes by Rev. Jay Bagwell and Rev Arlis East. Mrs. Abbie Richardson was soloist and Mrs. Janice Sullivan was organist. Burial was in Moseley Cemetery. Pallbearers were R. Lovett Reaves, Floyd Myers, Cecil Carmical, A.G. Haygood, Donnie Dawkins and Alfred Burnett."
