"Jet Accident Kills Worker
China Lake, Calif (AP) - An aircraft electrician was killed when he was sucked into the intake valve of the high-powered jet during maintenance work on the plane at the Naval Weapons Center, the Navy said Wednesday.
He was identified as William Brooks, 46, of nearby Ridgecrest.
A five-member maintenance crew was working on the QF-86F Supersaber jet Tuesday at Armitage Field when the accident occurred, base spokeswoman Loretta King said."
William was operating an electrical cart at the time of the accident.
