"This is a white cotton wedding petticoat featuring a series of tucks below the knees and on the attached ruffle, which is trimmed with handmade lace. The center back is heavily pleated and secures with a single button. Ohio, Fulton County; Indiana, Miami County, Peru. Wedding clothes and accessories of Lily Tilley for her marriage to E.J. Spangler on December 19, 1893 in Fulton County, Ohio. The wedding outfit was made in Peru, Miami County, Indiana. After the wedding, the couple established residence on the Spangler farm, which was southwest of Peru, in Pipe Creek Township. The bride, born March 20, 1869, was the daughter of William J. Tilley (1836-1924) and Sarah Jane Braley Tilley (1838-1919). William was born in Washington, DC, and died in Fulton County, Ohio. Sarah Jane was born in Ohio and died in Fulton County, Ohio."
