He married Mary ___ on Jun 25,1668. There is some question as to whether she was a Wheeler or a Houghton.

Children: Mary Wilder Fairbanks, James Wilder, Joseph Wilder, Sarah Wilder Hartwell, Elizabeth Wilder Hutchins, and Anne Wilder Willard.

The land for this burying field (Old Common Cemetery) was given by Capt. Thomas Wilder, who died in 1717. He was the eldest son of Thomas Wilder, first settler of the name.
