Maude and Dr. John Quincy Brantley, Sr. were married about 1903. They apparently only had one living son, John Quincy Brantley, Jr., but gave birth to another son, Louie C. Brantley, born 6/4/1901 and died 12/3/1904.

Mrs. Maud K. Brantley, 34 years old, died early morning at her home, 386 Grant Street. She is survived by her husband, Dr. J. Q. Brantley, son J. Q. Brantley, Jr, her parents, Mr. & Mrs. I. E. Kinney (s/b Tinney), and a brother, J. S. Kinney (s/b Tinney). The body will be carried Thursday morning to Roswell, Georgia, for funeral and interment.
