"Irish" Henry WATSON (had no middle name)

Tho Henry's Stone reads birth 1834, each and every document I have which he personally signed throughout his life, reads birth 1836. Each Census as well.

Henry came to the US from Ireland in 1854. "Irish Henry" was my paternal Great Great Grandfather.

Enlisted as a Confederate Soldier in Eutaw, Greene Co., AL in 1861. Private, Company E, 20th Alabama Infantry.

Captured first in Nashville & released. Captured again and Released from Camp Chase, Ohio on June 12, 1865.

Married 1st Sarah TATE. Their only child Daughter Margaret Jane WATSON was born October 30, 1866.

Married 2nd Margaret Frances HAMMONDS December 24, 1868, Greene Co., AL. My great-grandfather (Thomas Henry Thedford WATSON) was born November 8, 1869 near Boligee.

The family, including Margaret's mother (Mary Elizabeth HALE Hammonds) moved to Texas, Leon Co. where twins were born August 27, 1871 (baby girl did not survive).
