Funeral services for Thomas Bendel, 78, of 4890 Columbia Drive S., were yesterday in Olypia, with burial in the Masonic cemetery under the direction of the Mills & Mills Mortuary. He died Thursday in a Seattle hospital.
Born in Mount Sterling, Ky., Mr. Bendel was a barber in Olympia 20 years before moving to Seattle in 1945. He worked at several shops here, including those at the Olympic Hotel and the Grosvenor House, before retiring four years ago. He was a member of the Barber's Union.
Surviving is his wife, Anna.
