Mary Sechrist was the daughter of George Laws and Frances Livingston Barns Laws. She married James Sechrist . She was the mother of fifteen children, the last two being twin boys who did not live, after birth. A daughter said after having a severe case of meningitis,her mother was admitted into a hospital, where she passed away one month later. Another relative has said she never got over the loss of her twin boys and her health failed after that. She was very dear to all her family.
