Services for Leonard James Ray Sr., 91, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Ray died Saturday, July 4, 1998, at Southwinds Care Center in Lawrence.
He was born July 25, 1906, to Alonzo and Bertha Hudson Ray in Linn Creek, Mo.
He was a laborer for the city of Lawrence for 13 years. He was a member of the Clinton Parkway Assembly of God.
He married Goldie I. Tate. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Bobby J. and Donald L., Lawrence; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
