James Kyle Rivers, 30, died of heart failure Tuesday, July 22, 1997, at his Yazoo County, MS; home.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday at Stricklin-King Funeral Home.

Mr. Rivers, a Yazoo County, MS; native, was a member of Holly Bluff Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Rivers.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Leila Turnage of Yazoo City, MS; a sister, Susan A. Hasty of Yazoo City, MS; a stepbrother, Randy Turnage of Purvis, MS; a stepsister, Ann Hawkes of Atlanta, GA; his stepfather, Jay Tumage of Yazoo City, MS; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Ollie Rivers of Holly Bluff, MS; and step-grandparents, Harold and Mary R. Turnage of Kokomo, MS.

Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery.
Rev. Alan Winters and the Rev. James K. Allgood officiated.
Pallbearers were Timothy Abies, Matt Abies,
Jon Abies, Dan Abies, Mike Abies, and Keith Abies.
