ISABEL LAVINA BAKER

Isabel Lavina Cramer was born in Kirbyville, Missouri, moving with her parents at the age of nine to Texas, crossing the plains in a covered wagon. Shortly afterwards the family came to Oregon. She was married in 1899 to Thomas Walker, to whom four children were born. They made their home in Payette until 1920, where she was affiliated with the Methodist church here. In 1925 her husband died, and in 1927 she was united in marriage to A. K. Baker of Fruitland. After a lingering illness, she passed away at her home in Fruitland on March 16, 1939.

She is survived by her husband, three children, Mrs. Verla White, Mrs. Henly Klonfus and Melvin Walker; two step-sons, Adelbert Baker of Weiser, and Karl Baker, of Parma; six grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Gross, Emmett; Mrs. Ruth Gross, Ola; Mrs. Will Paddock, Arlington, Wash.; and Mrs. Thomas Whitlock of Vale, Oregon; three brothers, Marion and Roy Cramer, of Ola, and John Cramer, of Emmett.(Independent Enterprise, Thursday, March 23, 1939)
