RODGERS, Fawn Virginia Age 93, of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. She was born May 5, 1924 to John Kinney and Grayce (Rutter) Bertwell. She was a homemaker. She volunteered at Middletown and Atrium Hospitals for 25 years and was a volunteer for Hospice. Fawn was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church. She will be remembered for her kindness, sense of humor and her cherry pies. Fawn is survived by her daughters, Marty (Mike) Cole of Middletown, Amy Donley of Butler, PA; grandchildren, Matthew (Laura Morris) Way of Middletown, Kristin (Chris) Goforth of Middletown, Katie Cole of Denver, CO, Lauren (Jake) Booth of Middletown, Amber (Devon Cunningham) of Butler, PA, Abbey (Mike) Burnside of PA ; 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 51 years, Howard Rodgers in 2001; grandson, Michael Adam Way in 2005; brother, Roger Kinney; sister, Florabelle Snyder. Visitation will be held Friday, August 4, 2017 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 225 Britton Lane, Monroe, OH 45050. A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm at the chapel with Pastor Michael Isaacs officiating.
