Dorris Geraldine Wimmer, age 92, of Fulton, Missouri passed away at her home on Friday, July 31, 2020.
Geraldine was born November 21, 1927, in Readsville, Missouri, the daughter of Mary (Hays) Watson. On February 18, 1946 Geraldine was united in marriage to James John Wimmer who preceded her in death on March 17, 1999.
Geraldine worked as a nurses aide at Fulton State Hospital and cared for children at local daycares. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was active with the Callaway Senior Center and enjoyed going on group bus trips.
Geraldine's memory will be cherished by her sons, Jerry Wimmer of Portland, Missouri, Larry Wimmer of Fulton, Missouri, Daniel Wimmer (Sherie) of Portland, Missouri and David Wimmer (April) of Portland, Missouri; her daughters, Shirley Pullen of Haslett, Minnesota, Yvonne Adams of Fulton, Missouri, Elizabeth Myers (Steve) of Fulton, Missouri and Debbie Devilley of California, Missouri; brothers, Bill Watson of Holts Summit, Missouri and Donald Watson of Mokane, Missouri; sisters, Louise Huff and Alva Polacek, both of Fulton, Missouri; twenty-two grandchildren; forty-seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Geraldine was preceded in death by a son, Terry Wimmer; twins, Sandra Jean and Sharon Ann Wimmer; another set of twins passed away at birth; sister, Dorothy Krutz; grandchildren, Bruce Adams and Chase Myers.
Funeral services will be at 12:00pm on Monday, August 3, 2020at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Gary Thomas officiating. Friends will be received at 10:00am until the time of service . Interment at a later date in Callaway Memorial Garden Cemetery and Mausoleum.
