Loretta Jane Bear passed away at her home in Holdenville on Thursday, July 30, 2020, at the age of 50 years.

Loretta was the daughter of Wilson & Betty (Franks) Bear, born on October 10, 1969, in Claremore, Oklahoma. Her early childhood years were spent in Tulsa, until the family moved to Holdenville in 1977. She graduated Holdenville High School in 1987, and moved to Seminole. She worked in Seminole and Oklahoma City for many years. She was employed for several years by the Seminole Nation, and had worked the past eighteen months for the Muscogee Creek Nation Child Care Center in Holdenville. She enjoyed interacting with children, and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She was a devoted fan of professional wrestling, and loved keeping up with the Von Erick family. She was a member of Middlecreek #2 Baptist Church in Holdenville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilson Bear and Betty Bear Taylor; her brother, Victor Bear; two infant brothers, Jimmy and Eastman, and one infant sister, Brenda; her infant nephew, Baylor.

She is survived by one brother, Edward Bear, of the home; two nieces, Amanda Kanuho (Jordan) of Tulsa, and Rebekah Roeber (Phillip) of Tulsa; one nephew, Cory Jimboy (Jada) of Pawnee; two great nieces, Olivia Jimboy and Madison Jimboy; two great nephews, Kyle Jimboy and Caleb Jimboy; half brother Eddie Gooden (Carol) of Holdenville; other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, 10:00 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel, and Loretta was laid to rest at Cedar River Cemetery in Holdenville, with Rev. Mike Deer officiating. Pallbearers were Jordan Kanuho, Cory Jimboy, Phillip Roeber, Chris Franks, Norman Franks, and Shane Phillips.She died one day apart from her brother Victor.
