days.
She was preceeded in death by two brothers, William and Edward and one sister, Ella.
On January 9, 1894, she was united in marriage with Jacob M. Henry, of Sumner, Illinois, who also preceded her in death July 16, 1937.
To this union were born one son, Roy of Palestine, Illinois and one daughter, Joy at home.
When but a child, she gave her heart to the Lord and joined the Methodist Church where she remained a life-long member. She was faithful in the worship services of the church and took an active part in the various activities, at one time serving as President of the Ladies Aid and did much to raise funds in purchasing the adjoining building north of the church known as The Hut.
She remained a willing worker and faithful until 15 years ago, due to an accident, she became an invalid and was confined to her home. Though unable to walk she spent no idle moments and had wonderful ability in the use of her needle. She never lost interest in the church and its activities and in the best interest of the town and community.
During the years as an invalid she was cared for lovingly and tenderly by her son, Roy and daughter, Joy. Her home was always open to her friends and neighbors, always greeting them with a smile. She was a benediction to all who came in touch with her. Her children rise up and call
her blessed.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her son Roy; her daughter, Joy; one granddaughter, Maryleta; one daughter-in-law; one nephew; two nieces and cousins.
