Funeral services for Clara Eaton Moore, 83, of Leggett were held from the Bethel Baptist Church in Bold Springs.

Interment followed in Crossroads Cemetery in Leggett.

Mrs. Moore died Monday, Sept. 5, in Livingston.

She was born April 29, 1911 in the Sunset community, Kaufman County, the daughter of Elijah Webb Eaton and Emma Louise Watson Eaton.

She moved with her family to Leggett at the age of 3 and attended Leggett School. On Aug. 11, 1929, at the age of 18, she married Calobe L. Moore in Livingston. To this union two daughters were born, both of whom survive. Mr. and Mrs. Moore lived in Leggett almost all of their lives. She was a minister's wife and was known as a wonderful neighbor and friend. Mrs. Moore never left home without a bouquet of flowers and something from the garden to give when she went visiting. She was very faithful in visiting those that were sick. If any family was in need, she would divide anything she had and give to them. She was known as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include two daughters, Gracie Hood and husband Frank and Judy Isaacs and husband Harold; nine grandchildren, Melody Aragon and husband Frank, Cindy Sheffield and husband John, Mary Booth and husband Paul, Andy Hood, Bobby Isaacs and wife Donna, Doris Heaton, Darla Attaway and husband Dwight, Jason Wayne Stephens and wife Lisa, and Calobe Reed Isaacs; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
