Caddess Funeral Held

Funeral services for Mr. Leonard Taylor Caddess were held at the Oliver Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Sunday, December 10, with Rev. H. B. Vinson and Rev. W. M. Hull officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. Caddess died in the Riddell Nursing Home in Winona on December 8, 1972. He was born in Texas on March 23, 1886, and lived in Winona most of his life, operating a general store near the Winona Country Club from 1947 until about three years ago.

Survivors include two sons, J. H. Caddess of Bryan, Texas; and Wilson M. Caddess of Vaiden; one stepson, James L. Collins, Winona; and one stepdaughter, Mrs. A. J. Burney, Jackson. Also surviving are one grandson, H. N. Caddess, Vienna, Virginia, and two great-granddaughters and eight step-grandchildren.

Out of state relatives who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Houston Doss and Mrs. John Simmons of Centerville, Alabama; Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Hudson of Bryan, Texas.

Pallbearers were M. L. Branch, Oliver Stafford, Michael Collins, John A. Burney, Jr., Sidney Branch, H. B. Sandidge. Honorary pallbearers were his friends, customers and former neighbors.
