MaryJo Rose, 81, of Clyde, Texas, died on July 28, 2020 in Alvarado, Texas.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bailey Howard Funeral Home, 105 Oak Street, Clyde, Texas. Funeral services will be held at Bible Baptist Church, FM 604 South, Clyde, Texas on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 10:00a.m. with Rev. Larry Hooper and Brother Bob Gillette officiating. Burial will follow at Clyde Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home.
MaryJo was born April 4, 1939 in Handley, Texas to William Edgar and Gladys Naomi (Davis) Donahue.
She married Sterling Rose on March 17, 1956 in Gainesville, Texas and they were in love for 51 years until Sterling’s death on March 4, 2007.
MaryJo worked as a beautician in Clyde for over 50 years and was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
MaryJo loved Bluegrass music and enjoyed pickings with friends and family.
She also enjoyed traveling the country by motorcycle with the wind in her hair and the American road under her feet.
MaryJo was a dedicated mother and loved by all who met her.
MaryJo is survived by four sons, Richard Sterling (Ricky) Rose and wife Rene'of Clyde, Arthur Byron Rose and Rick Rambo of Egan, Bobby Lee Rose and wife Gail of Anson and William (Billy) Michael Rose; two daughters, Lecia Susan Rose of Clyde and Carolyn Polly Rose of Clyde; 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
MaryJo was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Sterling, a granddaughter, daughter in law, her brother and two sisters.
