He was born in Horicon on April 25. 1895, son of Ferd and Anna Otto, and was married in 1924 in Indiana to Texene Ives, who preceded him in death in 1952.
A resident of Oshkosh the past 10 years, he had earlier operated a studio in Wilmette, Il., as a portrait artist. He had won a number of awards in the Chicago area, and had painted portraits of high officials at Northwestern University. Mr. Otto was also well known for his calendar illustrations, and had done other commercial art work.
He served with the Air Force in World War I, and in World War II was engaged in aerial photography, mostly in map work.
Surviving are one brother, 0. H. Otto, Oshkosh; one sister, Mrs. William Kroening, Oshkosh; and one niece.
Arrangements for services will be announced later by Seefeld Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
