TOWNSEND - Ethel L. (Maher) Collman, 71, of 14 Beech St., died Saturday at Deaconess Hospital, Boston, where she was being treated for a heart attack she suffered in March.

She leaves her husband of 50 years, Lyle C. Collman; two sons, Lyle C. Collman Jr. of Dracut and Ronald G. Collman of Tyngsboro; three daughters, Deborah A. White of Fitchburg, Sandra J. Beauregard of Townsend and Pamela M. Vitullo of Chicopee; and 14 grandchildren. She was born in Cambridge, daughter of James J. and Ethel (Kuzik) Maher, and lived in Medford and in Westford before moving here 22 years ago.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. John the Evangelist Church, 1 School St. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main St. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham 01701.
