Robert (Bob) Reed Barron, 73, of Eubank, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born near Eubank on September 14, 1946 to Raymond Oliver and Tressie Reynolds Barron. Bob was a welder/machinist among other occupations that he mastered. His dad instilled eagerness in him to always learn from everything and everyone.
He enjoyed traveling, camping, riding his three-wheeler, boating, and fishing.
He was a member of Bandy Church of Christ and was looked up to by the young and old alike for his wisdom and forthright way of dealing with a problem.
He was preceeded in death by his parents; one infant son, Rodney Reed Barron; one grandson, Billy Ray Hasty; one brother, Milton Barron & wife Fern; two sisters, Joyce Buis & husband Ed and Faye (Charles) Sweeney Ray; and a brother-in-law, Ike Leger.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Barbara Dye Barron; sons, Robby (H. Shannon) Barron, Kevin (Shannon L.) Barron, both of Eubank; daughter, Tina (Charles) Hasty of Eubank; grandchildren, Tyler (Frieda) Hasty of Berlin, Germany, Seth Barron of Richmond, Savannah Barron, Cole Barron, Austin and Brenden Whiles, Bethany (Bobby) Fulton; two great-grandchildren, Emma Fulton and Azura Hasty all of Eubank; siblings, Beecher & (Ann) Barron, Roger & (Matilda) Barron, Don Barron, and Alice Leger; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, & friends.
