ORRVILLE--- Phyllis I. Crosser, age 81, of Orrville, died December 22, 2017, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville, following a long period of declining health.
She was born in Nelsonville, OH on April 23, 1936, the daughter of Clarence and Mabel (Skiver) Keplar. She was united in marriage to Jack S. Crosser on October 11, 1958. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2009.
Phyllis was a 1956 graduate of Nelsonville High School and had previously worked for many years at the Orrville Veterinary Clinic. She was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary in Orrville.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Sinclair of Orrville and Cindy (Mike) Pumphrey of Wooster; grandchildren, Jamie McElroy, Tyler and Katelyn Pumphrey, Jason and Cortney Crosser; great-grandchildren, James, Phillip, and Jasmine McElroy, and Matthew Ley; brother, Ralph (Carolyn) Keplar of Orrville; and a sister, Glennia Keplar of Reynoldsburg, OH.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jay Crosser, brother, Clarence Keplar, and a sister, Zita Bentley.
Services will be held in the chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville on Friday, December 29, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. Burial of cremains will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery.
