Japanese warrior from Kawachi Genji in end of Heian period.
After the death of Yoshiie Minamoto-no, Kawachi Genji had been declining his position in the capital due to internal conflict. Yoshitomo who descended from the capital to the east, organized a local powerful family tribe to expand his power and returned to the capital again to be appointed by guard of Shimotsuke. Leading the Togoku Samurai Corps, he raised a name for himself after being appointed to the samanokami in the Hogen War, but three years later in the Heiji War, he was defeated. On the way out of the capital, he was betrayed and killed in Owari by local townsman.
