James Clyde Buttram died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at St. Francis Hospital [Tulsa. Oklahoma]. Services are pending at Green Hill Funeral Home of Sapulpa.
He was born Jan. 3, 1929 in Niangua, Mo. to Calvin and Berta Buttram. He moved soon after to the Sapulpa-Mounds area, where he lived the remainder of his life. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
He married Margaret Mobley in Sapulpa June 5, 1951. He was a retired oil field worker, [before] moving to L. B. Jackson Oil Co. for 30 years, and retiring from Quad Oil in 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Chester Bingley of Mounds and Renee Junell and Don Perry, both of Frisco, Texas; three grandsons, Jason Blackwell of Norman, Jeremy Bingley of Mounds and Matthew Junell of Frisco; one granddaughter, Crystal Bingley; and one great-granddaughter, Jayce Bingley of Mounds.
