Mrs. Dorothy Crockett, 71, widow of Charles Weldon Crockett died Saturday at her home after a prolonged illness. She was the daughter of the late Travis and Mary Spence Crockett of Tangier. She is survived by one daughter, Edna S. Pruitt, and five sons, Homer G, Milbourn H, Alfred S., Charles A., and Vaughn. There are 15 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Squire Howe and a brother Charles B. Crockett. The funeral service was held at the Swain Memorial Methodist Church of which Mrs. Crockett was a member, officiated by the Rev. Lawrence George, pastor.
