Ada H. Dingus, 87 of Chesterfield, died March 5, 2001. She was the widow of Joe C. Dingus. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Harvey and Lily Mae Hall; sisters, Stella Frazer and Ruth Peters; brothers, Roy, Lonnie, Earnest, Melvin, Stuart, and Ed Hall. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Doris Hall Holland, Donald Peters, Muriel Hall Dingus, Lee Hall, Stephen Hall, Patsy Peters Dotson, Doyle Frazer, Stuart Hall Jr., Brenda Hall Pruitt, Everetta Hall Boyd, Ricky Joe Peters, Jean Hall Melton, and Edward Hall Jr. She was a retired school teacher from Bartley, W.Va., and a member of Rebecka Lodge #86 of Bradshaw, W.Va. Mrs. Dingus was also a longtime member of Second Branch Baptist Church in Chesterfield, Va. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10), and Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home, Coeburn, Va. Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Estes Funeral Home with interment in Greenwood Memorial Cemetery, Coeburn, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Second Branch Baptist Church, New Vision Building Fund, 12217 Second Branch Road, Chesterfield, Va. 23838.
