Served in the Confederacy as a 2nd., Lt., Co., "E," 3rd. Georgia Regiment Infantry, Northern Virginia, April 26, 1861. Houston County Georgia, Governor's Guards, October 26, 1861 and resigned April 28, 1862.

Son of Dr. Cary S. and his "1st wife," Elizabeth Ann (Sharp) LeSueur, Culloden, Monroe County.
