Son of Milo and Reita (Benner) Anson. Mike was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a life member of the VFW and a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Genesee Chapter #3. Mike was a crane operator with Operating Engineers Local 324 for almost 40 years until retiring in 1982. In 1987, Mike and his wife, Adella, moved to Marilla Township. He was a member of the James E. Dillion Masonic Lodge in Mesick, a past dad advisor of the DeMolay, and a past patron of the Eastern Star chapter in Garden City. He attended services at Mesick United Methodist Church. In his spare time, Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf and working on his home and automobiles. On Aug. 6, 1950, in Mesick, Mike married Adella Marie Shepard, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Bruce Edward Anson of Mesick and Bradley Dean (Rebecca) Anson of Fenton; two grandsons, Chad Anson and Ryan Anson, both of Fenton; two sisters, Wanda (Carl) Patchett of Perry and Lenora Anson of Charlotte; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Tyler Anson during infancy; four brothers, Lloyd, Andrew, George and LaVern; and two sisters, Evelyn and Florence.
