PAMPA - Earnest E. Adcox, 88, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Church of Christ in Groom with the Rev. Scott Barton of Calvary Assembly of God in Pampa and Dale Meadows of the Church of Christ in Groom officiating. Burial will be in Groom Cemetery at Groom by Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S. Georgia St., in Amarillo.

Mr. Adcox was born in Lakeview. He served with the Cavalry during World War II. He worked for many years for Rock Island Railroad. After retiring, he worked for several restaurants in Groom.

He was a member of the Church of Christ in Groom. He attended Calvary Assembly of God Church in Pampa.

Mr. Adcox was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Adcox, in 1983. He married Loraine Ingram in 1985 at Pampa.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Vonnie Barker of Groom and Billie J. Williams of Kemp; a son, Dannia Howerton of Miami; 34 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to the Calvary Baptist Church building fund.
