Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015, at a 1:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Broussard, for Wilbert "W.C." LaBauve, 85, who died on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at his residence in Lafayette.

Entombment will be in Sacred Heart of Jesus Mausoleum.

Reverend Paul Bienvenu, Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Dan Keetch, Jr. and Wayne LaBauve. Giftbearers will be Jenny Breaux Reed and Courtney Keetch Kolar. Eulogist will be Bill John. Musical selections will be, "Here I Am Lord", "Ave Maria", "One Bread, One Body" and "On Eagles' Wings" for the services.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Marlene Weidetz LaBauve; his daughters, Susan LaBauve Messina (Raymond), Helen LaBauve Keetch (Danny), Caren Crowley Crump (Michael) and Kathy Crowley; his son, Chris LaBauve (Erik); his brother, Willis "Chick" LaBauve (Harriet); six grandchildren, Erin Breaux Henry (Mike), Michael Arton, Jr. (Hunter), Jenny Breaux Reed (Jason), Dan Keetch, Jr., Jennifer Arton Bauder (Beau) and Courtney Keetch Kolar (Kye); and his seven great grandchildren, Connor Henry, Natalie Henry, Cameron Bauder, Harrison Bauder, Brennan Reed, Adelyn Bauder and Analeigh Reed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William LaBauve and Aline Gary; his brothers, Howard, Elmo, Leo and Lee LaBauve; his daughter, Mignon LaBauve Arton; and his son, Mark LaBauve.

A native of Beaumont, Tx. and a resident of Lafayette for 36 years, W.C. LaBauve proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps for two years, then joined the United States Air Force where he served for twenty years and retired a Lieutenant Colonel. He served in WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War during his tenure. Mr. LaBauve was also a Jr. ROTC instructor at Bolton High School in Alexandria, La. After his military career, W.C. worked in Oilfield sales until his retirement.

Pallbearers will be the Keesler Air Force Honor Guard.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE location on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be prayed Thursday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
