Herbert R. Shrum, 78 year old former member of the Indianapolis Police Department, died yesterday in the hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He had retired in 1942 after 27 years as a policeman. Born in Columbus, O., he had lived in Indiana 50 years. He was a member of Gospel Lutheran Ch urch in Milwaukee, and the Faternal Order of Police.
Funeral services will be held at 1:15 p.m. Saturday at Heiden and Lange Funeral Home in Milwaukee.
Survivors include the widow Mrs. Linda Shrum, and a brother Lawrence Shrum of Richwood, Ohio
