First marriage in the records of Bethany Ev. Free Church, Houston, Minn. – Sept. 5, 1906.
Thor T. Kragness (1876-19 ) – son of Targe & Gunhild (Lonnegrav) Kragness – Holty Ridge.
Effie Johnson (1889 – 19 ) – daughter of August & Sophia (Johnson) Johnson – her family lived several places around Houston including Looney Valley.
Later Divorced.
Thor in later years lived in Winona and then Red Wing, he died in Red Wing which is why no Houston County death record, and was buried in the Free Church cemetery.
Information from relative.
There is no monument in the cemetery and it is not sure where he is buried.
Thor's mother in Houston County records "Gunhild Larson 1837 to 4-11-1908 Page 120 line 2 in Houston County death records that said undertaker was from Houston and buried in Evan Cem."
One report is both Thor and his mother were buried in the SE corner of the cemetery by Effie Johnsons parents. Thor also had claimed plot E3 so it is possible he and his mother are buried there.
Sept. 27, 2022 tracked down Thor's birth and death dates and that he died in Goodhue County, MN. Goodhue County recorder was contacted and the record there shows he was buried in Houston, but does not list the cemetery.
