Obituary for Janette (Davault) Fitzhugh York
Janette Davault Fitzhugh York, age 88, passed away peacefully on 24 June 2020 in Greenville TX. Janette was born in Windom TX and grew up on a farm near Dodd City TX with her parents, Eldridge C. and Dema M. Davault, along with her three brothers and three sisters. The family moved to Dallas after World War II, where Janette met her future husband, John Golden Fitzhugh of Dallas, in 1952. They have one son. After the passing of her husband in 1999, she married RM York of Greenville in 2001. Janette worked at Irving Tool & Mfg. Co. in Garland for over 35 years before retiring in 2000. She was always active in her church and enjoyed gatherings with extended family, as well as socializing with friends. Janette was a dedicated, loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and mother. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, her parents, brothers Macon, George, and Eldridge Jr., and sisters Opal and Ann. She is survived by her sister, Glenda Svetlik of Grapevine, and son, J. Kirk Fitzhugh of Long Beach CA. Her presence in our lives will be greatly missed.
